Dr. Zdenko Trampuš, DDS

Dr Trampuš graduated from the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, and pursued additional training and education in implantology at UCLA in 2008.

In 1993, he opened a private dental practice, and in 2006, the Ortoimplant clinic. In 2003, he founded SMT DENT to represent high-end medical and dental technology.

Constantly improving his clinical skills, Dr Trampuš completed training on the All-on-4 implant concept at the Malo Clinical Center in Lisbon (Portugal), a master’s programme in aesthetic rehabilitation at the ACE Institute in Italy and a master’s programme at the International Piezosurgery Academy in Italy. He thus introduced Zygoma All-on-4, the most advanced method of treating edentulism, to Croatian clinical dentistry. His exceptional skills and expertise are evidenced by more than 300 implant procedures performed per year, and more than 200 All-on-4 and Zygoma All-on-4 surgical procedures in treating edentulism.

In 2008, Dr Zdenko Trampuš, together with the world-famous periodontist Dr Sascha Jovanovic from UCLA, was the first to use biomorphogenic proteins (BMP-2) for the purpose of stimulating vertical and horizontal bone growth as substrate for future implant placement. His visionary work gained recognition when he became the first Croatian dentist admitted as an honorary member to the world’s oldest dental association, the International College of Dentists (ICD).

In addition to the ICD, Dr Trampuš is a member of several professional associations, including the American Implantology Association, the International Piezosurgery Academy, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the German Society for Functional Diagnostics and Therapy (DGFDT), the Croatian Society for Maxillofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Head and Neck, and the Croatian Medical Association.
